With Gosta’s Smart Dictation feature, you can now dictate more freely so that your dictation is directly turned into a structured clinical note. This way, you can get the note entered into the template immediately, without Gosta having to record the entire patient conversation.
How to Use the Feature
Select “New Smart Dictation”
You can start Smart Dictation either from the new note view or by selecting the option from the + New encounter button menu.
Start Recording and Dictate Information to Gosta
Recording starts automatically when you begin dictating. You can now simply dictate freely what you want Gosta to add under each section.
When you are finished, press the Create Note button.
For best results, use the format “Section Title + your dictated text”, as this helps Gosta understand which part of the dictation belongs to which section.
Example usage
History: 38-year-old woman, office worker. 15 pack-years, quit 3 years ago. No regular medications. Father had hypertension. Occasional dizziness and headaches over the past month.
Current status: General condition good, no chest pain, shortness of breath, or visual disturbances. Blood pressure 145/92
Plan: Increase exercise to at least 3 hours per week. Follow-up in 1 month. Immediate ER if acute chest pain or shortness of breath occurs
